Boy George has put his Grade II listed six-bedroom Gothic mansion up for sale for £17m.
The 19th-century building overlooks Hampstead Heath in north London and features a meditation room, a mezzanine cinema and a rooftop terrace.
George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, bought the house in the mid-1980s while still a member of the Culture Club.
It was built in 1868 and now covers an area of 5,453 square feet after merging with neighboring properties.
The 61-year-old has spent large sums on renovations, which include a merger with neighboring homes and a three-year project to expand the property and increase the amount of natural light.
The singer had to fight Camden’s advice in 2015 after the proposals were initially rejected and labeled as “overly dominant” and “inappropriate”.
Eventually a compromise was reached and F3 Architects and Kelly Hoppen created the award-winning interior.
